Before the holidays, the first price sets the calendar
In September, Rockwall County homes that were priced right from the start had an accepted offer in a median of 20 days. Homes that needed a price reduction took 97. Count 97 days forward from a late October listing and you land at the end of January, after Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year. If you're selling this fall, the right first price can keep your move on your timeline. If you're buying, a home that has been sitting since summer may have a seller who is ready to talk.
